Because I'm off (not babysitting anyone) on Mondays, I promised Andrew that we would make those Fun Mondays, and Fridays the same (fun Fridays). So today, we had our first Fun Monday, and we took Macy to the babysitter's house around noon, and then went and met up with our friend Lindsey, also known as Andrew's Kindergarden teacher, Mrs. Koontz..... We decided for today's field trip, we were going to go to the Federal Bureau of Engraving & Printing, one of the two places where they make US paper money. It was fun (and FREE!!), and we were able to see all the millions of 'notes' made per day in our town, just about 5 minutes from our house! :) Can you believe they produce about 326.3 million dollars per day?! It's crazy, and really neat to see. And if you look at a bill that you have in your wallet right now, if you see a little F.W. (followed by another number/letter or two), on the right side of the bill, that means it was made in this facility here in Ft Worth. :) After learning about how money is made, we went for snocones! YUMMY :) Then I went to pick Macy up while Andrew went to Lindsey's house to play with Pudge, her big lab puppy. They have Pudge trained to do many tricks, but Macy thought it was hilarious when Pudge would jump up with this front paws in the air for a "touchdown!" She giggled so hard at that.
Ended our day doing a few more grocery game stops, and then went home to tell daddy all about our Fun Monday. :) (sorry, Macy - you kinda got left out of the mix today - and I had to snap a pic (on my cell phone) of you having your night-night bottle right before bedtime haha)
Oh - and the thing Andrew is doing with his hands in the pic by the sign, is the TCU Horned Frogs sign :) "Mrs Koontz" is a TCU alumni and he is now a fan too :)
