365 Days of Macy

welcome

A photo for each day of Macy's first year of life...

Day 324 - She Found The Wipes

Macy was feeling much better today, thank goodness!! No fever, better diapers, and eating lots and lots (and lots!!). I guess not eating for a few days made her really really hungry today! :)

Tonight, we just hung out at the house, and Macy bug found what she's always trying to get into...the wipes. And when no one was looking, she pulled a few out and had some fun with them before we snatched them and threw them away. Cute girl :)

Day 323 - Getting Better & A Fun Evening

I guess Macy bug is feeling better... she had a touch of fever, but Tylenol brought that down, and she's had less yucky diapers today as well. And the white on her gums, the ulcer thing, has gone way down, so that's a blessing too! My sister and her family were in town today and were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge over in Grapevine, so this evening, we drove over and met them at the mall to walk around, and then had dinner with them at a little Mexican restaurant Miguel and I used to go to way back in the day :) It was fun... and Macy was SO good the entire time. She'd been up since about 4pm, and stayed awake (and happy!!), well until we left the hotel to head home (after 11:30pm!).

Macy entertained herself, and us, by having bites of a lime during dinner. She would constantly make the sour face, but she'd keep eating the lime regardless. It was too funny! Aunt Marcie also bought her some bling for her little wrist - some bangle bracelets that we'd wanted to get her since she was born, even since before she was born! She thought it was a chew toy once we put one on her wrist, and she spent several minutes chewing it, or trying too :)

Andrew was excited to know that when we got home, it would be Tuesday, instead of Monday. He didn't think I was telling the truth, but I showed him on my phone when we got home that it was now Tuesday instead of Monday, as it had shown just hours ago. He got home and told the dogs "good morning dogs!", and was just so excited that it was now a new day, but that he was going to bed! It was cute :)

Day 322 - Urgent Care & No Front Teeth

This morning, Macy was running a high fever, and had just had way too many yucky diapers over the last 3 days, and wasn't eating because of the white spot on her gum that we thought was her tooth trying to come through (found out later it wasn't her tooth after all!). So we stayed home from church, as to not spread germs, if she was indeed sick. And after talking with a friend, I decided to take her to the urgent care clinic to figure out what was going on. Poor baby was just so calm and lethargic almost, when we arrived. She let me hold her and she didn't make as much as a peep, and she didn't really even move around much, which is not normal for her! The doc ended up telling us that she has an ear infection (what?! we would have never guessed that one!), and that's causing the yucky diapers. The white on her gum is indeed, NOT a tooth, but instead, something like an ulcer on her gum. They called it a mucocele/mucocyst, but those are not supposed to hurt, and this was obviously really hurting her, because she wouldn't let you touch it and she wasn't eating much because of the pain. So they prescribed an antibiotic and I dropped her off at the house while I went to get her medicine. Hopefully after a day or so on it, she will be as good as new!! My poor baby! And hopefully all that "teething" we thought was going on, will actually not be bad when it does have to happen!

Day 321 - Photo Sessions & Jelly Sandwiches

I had two photo sessions this morning, and then I had some errands to run afterwards. When I returned home, Buela & Aunt Mari were at the house! Macy had a good time seeing them and shortly after I got home, they left, as Buela had to drive back to Longview that evening. Macy has still been having yucky diapers, and just not feeling all that great, and you can tell she's not feeling well because she's not eating... not even her jelly sandwich I made for her! After one or two bites, and she's done. She had a touch of fever today, too, so who knows what's going on!!

Day 320 - Fun Friday & Blocking The Smell

Since we keep no extra kiddos on Fridays, we have Fun Friday! Today we went for lunch at McD's with Mia's aunt Laura, Mia, & Cason (Laura's son, the same age as Mia). It was so nice to get out with a new friend and just let the kids play and have a little time with another adult :) After that, we went window shopping around the shopping center we were near. Andrew wanted to go to PetsMart, so we made the trek up the hill way far away from where we parked our car, and we visited all of the animals there. Watched the dogs having playtime at the PetsHotel, touched a snake that a little boy was there buying, laughed at the rats that were digging around in their homes. Then when we left PetsMart, we noticed that a storm was headed directly for us. And we still had to get the stroller and ourselves back to our car - that was parked far, far away, down the hill! So we made it fun. Macy was sleeping in the stroller, and we started running as fast as we could. The wind was strong and though it wasn't raining yet, we could see it coming! It was fun, Andrew thought we were going to get poured on... and believe it or not, that storm went right past us and we never did get rain that afternoon! :)

After that, we ran a few more errands and then started heading home. Only to discover, halfway home, that Macy had another yucky diaper incident... she'd been having one quite frequently for the last few days, so we knew it was bad just from the smell. hahaha I look back, while stopping the car for a big Chicken Express Sweet Tea (yum!), and Andrew has his umbrella open in the car, covering him up. I asked what in the world he was doing, and he said he was blocking out the smell coming from Macy! hahaha Crazy kid. But he had the right idea, because shortly after, Macy started throwing up in the car as well, so it was then that I wished I had an umbrella to block the smell. EW!! Poor baby girl. She's been fine for the rest of the night, just having really bad diapers... not sure what's going on with her! Hopefully it's just teething!

Day 319 - Playtime and Peas

Today we just stayed inside for the most part since I was watching kiddos besides my own. And tonight, for dinner, I made a pasta dish that included peas. When Andrew was a baby, he loved the little green peas...so I just assumed that Macy would love them as well. I was wrong. haha She ate a few, but she always made that funny face when she'd squish one in her mouth, and she was quickly done with peas after she'd had a few :)

Day 318 - More Crazy Hair & Indoor Playtime

Once again, it was too hot to do anything outside, so we stayed in all day. Mia & Preston were here today, but for some reason, all three kiddos spent the majority of the day sleeping! Andrew and I got a little bored when it was just soooo quiet around the house due to having 3 sleepers all at once! When Macy finally woke up from her nap, Andrew 'fixed' her hair again, giving her a little mohawk :) She didn't seem to mind, and we got a few pics once it had dried :)

Day 317 - Nice Hair, Mace!

Not much going on today - it's too hot to do anything, but we did go for a snocone with Mia & her mommy this afternoon! And after bath time tonight, Miguel took the hair dryer to Macy's hair :)

Day 316 - Ducks Don't Need All That Bread

After a photo session at the park this morning, the kids and I went to the pond to feed the ducks (and turtles & fish!). Macy, when I gave her a hamburger bun to hold for a picture, stuck it in her mouth and proceeded to eat the entire thing. :) She loved those things!!

It was so hot after bringing in the groceries this afternoon, that I just filled up the little pool in our garage again and let the kiddos play in it in their regular clothes :) Macy thought that was awesome! She had a great time, and then we followed up the night with some dinner and fresh fruit for the girl. She loves kiwi & strawberries....gobbled them right up!!

Day 315 - Tons of Photos!!

After church, Miguel and I drove to Terrell to meet my mom and dad who were there to drop our kids off with us :) Grandma Veva also rode with us so that she could meet Buela in Lindale. And it was Father's Day today, so we got lots and lots of pics to show you!! It was a busy day, because after Terrell, we drove to Rockwall to visit Miguel's dad (where Macy enjoyed eating leaves and dirt outside!). Then we went to Steak N Shake, Andrew's favorite place to eat, and then came home. I warned you, lots of pictures!!

Day 314 - Not One to be Homesick

Seems Macy is doing fine being away from home! She's got her big brother there with us, so she probably feels pretty safe :)

More pics from Aunt Marcie, sent via cell phone! BTW, the wedding went fine! It was a long day, but it was great experience and fun to see our old family friends again!!

Day 313 - Staying Away and Eating Shoes

Because I'm photographing a wedding this weekend, I felt it would be easier to just have the kids spend the weekend away with family so that I wouldn't have to worry about them while I had to be gone for the wedding.... So this morning, we went to Lindale and did some pics of my sister, Amy's, kids, and then left Macy & Andrew with my mom and later my sister. Macy bug looked too cute in her little halter top and short set that Mimi gave her a long time ago, so we grabbed a pic before taking her to East Texas for the weekend without us.

Marcie kept me updated on Macy through pics via her cell phone. :)

Day 312 - A Pool The Perfect Size for Macy

Today we got out the little inflatable pool that we'd gotten for the little ones that I keep during the week. We set it up in our garage, where it would be easy to empty onto the driveway and down the street. Macy, Preston, and Andrew all had a great time playing in it, Macy is a pro at water fun and we, of course, had to take a pic :)

Before this, we tried taking some Father's Day pics of the two kiddos.... Andrew didn't want to cooperate much and Macy just wasn't interested in looking at the camera :) But we got a few!

Day 311 - Swimming & Cookies

Today we had Mia, so we didn't do much but stick around the house and play. And Macy slept, as she is known to do most of the time! :) After Mia left, I took the kids to the pool for an hour or so before a photo session tonight. Grabbed a few pics of Macy when we came in from the pool, and then after my session, I came home and Miguel was eating a lunchable meal...next thing we know, Macy had crawled over and had stolen his cookie and was trying to figure out how to eat it, probably without us seeing :) Funny, because in one pic, her eyes are totally saying "what cookie? i don't know what cookie you're talking about!" Love that girl!!
