365 Days of Macy

welcome

A photo for each day of Macy's first year of life...

Day 234 - She's Waving!

Well, tonight, after days and days of practice, Macy bug finally waved with her little bitty hand :) She opens and closes her fingers just like I do, with that look on her face that says she's found something new. I love love love it! :)

Day 233 - A Day Out

Macy & I had to run to the store for more formula, and while we were out, my friend called and invited us to lunch. We ran to the store, had lunch, then ran to another store and then to the church to visit my friends who still work there. Macy bug was sleeping when we got to the church but eventually woke up and entertained everyone with her little pursed lips and sweet smile :) After getting Andrew at the bus stop, we came home and all 3 of us crashed until it was time to make dinner. It was a busy but definitely nice day being out and about in this beautiful weather!

Day 232 - What's Next, Driving??!!

Our girl likes to stand.... she gets brave and lets go of whatever she's holding onto, and plops to the ground. And we all clap :) And she just grins soooo big! The girl is growing way too fast and I'm afraid will be walking before we are ready for her to be!

Today our new little friend, Mia, and her mom came over to play for a while. I'll be keeping Mia two days per week starting next week. We're really excited - Mia is 1, and will be in Kindergarten with Macy in, oh.... 5 years :)

Oh, and I'm enjoying my new hair conditioner...green beans. Oh come on, you know you want to try it. I'll even let you have Macy over for dinner so she can spray it in your hair too just at the right consistency. :) (let's just say thank goodness I had my glasses on, too, otherwise I'd have been trying the new green bean eye drops hahaha)
And you gotta love her little mad face from today :) I had to get one of her fussing since no one believes that she can be mad :)

Day 231 - Cowgirl Macy

Macy got to spend her morning playing with cousins Jake & Abigail, and Aunt Marcie & Uncle Justin, as they came over from their hotel and stayed until around noon, when they had to leave for home. Marcie got some cute pics of my girlie, so I'm posting those...

Then... after Andrew's baseball practice at 4, we came home and put Macy in her new little dress (consignment sale find!!) and pulled out Andrew's old cowboy hat and took some pics outside. I'll also post a pic of them side-by-side so you can compare the two. He was about 8 months old when we took his pic, and Macy is 7.5 months now. Anyway, lots of pics to enjoy today! :)

Day 230 - Let's Play Ball!

Well, Andrew has now started his 6th season of baseball. He's playing advanced T-ball again this season, where they have the coach pitch 3 balls, and if they miss each one, they hit from a tee. It's a lot of fun and we skipped last season, so we're really excited to be back out and playing again. Today was the opening ceremonies and Andrew & I had to be at the field at 8am to get uniforms and to line up for a parade. After that, we came home and cleaned up the house. Macy, Andrew, and Miguel then went to Andrew's bball practice and game, while I went to the church to take portraits for some mothers & daughters who were there for a little event. I was done early at the church, so I was able to jump in the car and make it for the whole game (minus a few minutes of the beginning). Andrew played pitcher position and did a fabulous job! And Macy loved being outside for that long... it was VERY windy, but she didn't seem to mind! She was very sweet the whole time.

After the game, Aunt Marcie, Uncle Justin, Abigail & Jake came over so that us adults could go to Billy Bob's for the Josh Turner concert. Our friend Halee came over to babysit and we went to Saltgrass where we had dinner with J&M, Jodi & her hubby, and Amy & Danny. It was a nice night out with no kids!! And Macy bug did just fine with her babysitter. :)

Day 229 - Lunch With Daddy

Macy & I went to a huge consignment sale with my friend Sarah, this morning. Found Macy some fun toys and a double stroller for WAY cheap. VERY excited about that deal. :) After, we tried to sell some clothes to the resale shop, but had no luck, so we just went and had a nice lunch with Miguel. After that, we came home and picked up Andrew from the bus stop. After that, we got ready for baseball practice....but then they cancelled it so we just went and used our giftcard at a BBQ place with some friends of ours from church. It was a fun and very busy day for miss Macy bug but she was soooo good, all day long. :)

And she said 'dada' for the first time today! It was so sweet! She's finally started babbling and it's so fun! :)

Day 228 - It's An Orange Kind of Day

Macy bug was really cute and happy in her orange shirt and blue jeans today, until we went to Target and the bottle of pedialyte I gave her had a malfunction and poured its entire contents all over her. She was soaked from top to bottom. It was nuts. If it's not poopy diapers giving us problems in public, it's purple pedialyte and messed up bottles! :) Keeps our days full of excitement, I guess, so I can't complain.

Tonight we found the pink ball popper that I've been looking for for months. She and Mia, the little girl I'll be keeping part-time, will enjoy it, as it's one of the only big toys we really have for her so far. The other toys she has are chew toys, and she's just getting too active for those. Moving on up, she definitely is :) But you should have seen how excited she was when the balls kept popping up out of the top. It was SO cute!! Definitely a camera moment that I couldn't miss!

Until tomorrow...

Day 227 - Hazel Eyes

Well, it looks like Macy bug will probably end up having hazel eyes. We can tell they aren't as dark brown as Andrew's, but they aren't quite green or blue either. In these pics they do look pretty brown, but on different days, they change. So for now, hazel it is. And we love them :) Poor girl is still having tummy troubles, though, so we're still having to feed her pedialyte, yogurt, bananas, and now soy formula. I sure hope it works. I feel like if you look in the sky, you'd see the green cloud of gassy smoke over our house :) Enjoy the close-up pics :)

Day 226 - Oh How I Love Jumpers

First off, I must share this funny Andrew story with you all :)

The other day, we were walking around Target w/Miguel and Macy... we lost Miguel & Macy, and so I took the opportunity to walk through the clothes section with Andrew. I said, "Come on, Andrew, we need to find you something to wear for Easter." He said, "Oh man, I don't want to be a bunny!" So I laughed it off, thinking he was joking. He wasn't. I guess he thought we "dress up" for Easter like we do for Halloween or something, because the next thing he said was, "Can I be an egg instead?" Will all seriousness in his voice. That's when I had to inform him that we don't dress up in costumes for Easter! Just in nice clothes :)

And tonight, as he was putting his shoes on, he asked if there might be "sporkians" in them.... I asked if he meant scorpians - he did :)

Okay, today's pic is thanks to Aunt Marcie, who bought this sweet, sweet, sweet jumper for the bug. She looked so cute in it, but I'm sorry to say, but it ended up in the "gotta be washed promptly due to major blowout diaper experience" pile. We're trying our hardest to get the girl's tummy issues fixed, Marcie, I promise :)

Day 225 - My Stylin' Baby

It was SO bright and sunny outside today when Macy & I went to meet Andrew at the bus stop, so we had to wear our shades. :)

Day 224 - Baby in Red

Today the kiddos and myself stayed home from church, just to not spread any lingering germs from this nasty virus that's still hanging around. Got in a lot of napping, and watching movies, and Macy bug has also found more of her voice! She's been squealing at us all day long, giving us these sassy little looks as if she knows she can get away with anything. haha Andrew said she's a drama queen :)

The outfit from today is a sweet little set that Macy's Buela got her. She looked too cute in it so we had to share :)

Oh, and it snowed yesterday - not sure if I wrote that or not - but it did - on the 1st day of Spring! And this morning it was still hanging around but quickly melted, thank goodness! We want the warm weather to come back!

Day 223 - Funny Faces

The girl continues to crack us up with the silly faces she makes at us. I think I kinda caught one this morning when we were getting ready to get out and about for a few hours - it's the bottom picture. (though, shortly after taking this pic, we had to change her all over again due to a horrendous diaper experience). haha

I think the kiddos are feeling good but the bug's obviously not completely gone yet :( Hopefully by Monday it will be 100% gone for both of them so we can get back to normal life again!

Enjoy the funny girl pics :)

Day 222 - The Sick Boy & Momma's Girl

Well, Andrew got the dreaded virus. In the middle of the night, (actually, around 3am), after our house alarm went off, waking us all up. So luckily, we were all up when he started getting sick. Poor little guy. He spent the day hanging out in the living room floor or in his room, all the while, carrying a trashcan with him everywhere. Macy hasn't gotten sick but continues to have yucky diapers. We'll see what tomorrow brings! (about the alarm - nothing but a false alarm)

While Miguel stayed home with his own upset stomach and headache, I left the kids home with him while I ran to do two sessions. I think, as we go to bed, we're all feeling okay. Andrew even ate dinner, so we'll see if that stays in him through the night.

This pic of Macy - is funny to me.... When I came in the door from my sessions, she immediately saw me and started crawling toward me, whining/fussing the whole way. I couldn't pick her up right away, so she just followed me around the living room and kitchen, fussing for me to pick her up! We put up a blockade of ottomans and her carseat so she can't get into the kitchen when she's not supposed to, and so this was taken when I was in the kitchen and she was trying with all of her might to get over her carseat and into the kitchen to me. She was yelling at me to come and get her, that's why her mouth is open like that. :) Though she really just wanted a bottle and to be put to bed, she just knew I would be the one who would help her out :)

Day 221 - Sick Again

My sweet baby girl got sick all over again this morning, and besides this little smile, I didn't see too many other smiles from her all day. You could tell she didn't feel well - she just wanted to be held and didn't want to lay down to rest or anything. It was pretty sad. We'll see how tomorrow goes - I hope it's lots better than today!! And we're still praying that Andrew doesn't get this awful and yucky virus!

But guess what? The girl's pulling up to a stand, on lots of things...though now, she thinks she can crawl onto/on top of whatever she stands up against... so she stands, and then one of her chunky little legs goes straight up, as if she's going to crawl right on top of what she's standing by. My fast little mover!

Day 220 - St Patty's Day - Without The Green

Well, Macy felt much better today, just having a few yucky diapers, but no more throwing up. We went to the park and then out for hamburgers with the kiddos before Miguel had to take Riley home. It was a pretty nice day! However, I forgot to put Macy bug in green! I guess she had a little green on (and IN!!) her diaper, so I guess that made her safe from the pinches :)

Day 219 - Her First Tummy Bug

Macy woke up and wasn't able to keep her formula down :( Poor baby threw up about 6 times all day, and then had a massive explosive diaper too. Seems we caught the awful virus that everyone in my family back home had this past weekend. Later in the day, she took a bottle of pedialyte and kept it down, but then Miguel came home and had it too. And me - well, I don't normally get it like everyone else does, but I had body aches, an very upset stomach, and fever. So far, Andrew & Riley haven't gotten it, and I'm praying they don't. But I guess I'd rather it happen on Spring Break than next week during school.

So we spent our day trying to keep Macy entertained in our bedroom while the kids (Genna & Micaela were over) played in the rest of the house. She became stir crazy and very upset that she couldn't do anything fun.

She went to bed fine, and then it was about 11 when I realized I never took her picture during the day, so you get another bedtime picture of her :) (again, LOVE this flash!)

Day 218 - Spring Break Day One

Well, Macy and I don't really get a Spring Break, but Andrew does, and it was very nice having him and Riley both at home today for the first day of Spring Break. We moved Andrew's room into the guest room, so that took up most of mine and Riley's day. Macy slept most of the day once we got back from the grocery store. She was beat from all of those good deals! I almost forgot to grab a pic of her from the day, so I had to do it after she had already gone to bed. But look how great my flash is! The lights were completely off in her room when I took these pics. I'm very excited :)

Day 217 - Mimi & Papa & The Rest of the Family

This morning we headed to Lindale to celebrate my mom's, my brother-in-law's, my two nieces, and my nephew's birthdays. We had lunch at mom & dad's and then had cake and the kiddos broke open a pinata outside. It was such a pretty day outside, so we got lots and lots of pics, of course :) (And what icing? I see no icing from a birthday cake all over my girl's face!)

Day 216 - A Day at Buela's

We drove to Longview to see Buela & Papa Bill today.... had a good day, trip, and evening playing with the girl. Tomorrow we head to Lindale to see Mimi & Papa. Macy gets all kinds of lovin' on this weekend! :)

Day 215 - Almost Forgotten!

Macy & I helped in the childcare class during MOPS at our church this morning. After that, we came home and had quite the low-key afternoon. She went to bed early, and it was only then that I realized that I hadn't gotten a picture of her yet today! So Andrew and I got the flash ready on my camera, snuck into her dark room, and snapped this pic of our princess almost, but not fully, asleep. She didn't even mind the bright flash, and went to sleep after we left her room again. :) Tomorrow we're off to see grandparents!

Day 214 - Happy Birthday, Mimi!

Today was my mom's (Mimi's) birthday, and even though Macy can't talk yet, she was sending Mimi happy birthday wishes all day long in her heart :)

This morning the girl and I got out to Sam Moon & Hobby Lobby to get more supplies for some flower headbands that someone ordered. She must not be one for crafts, because she snoozed (SNORING too!) through the whole store! Gotta train her better, I suppose :) From there, we drove to McDonald's where we met up with Sarah, Laney bug & baby Sloan. They had lunch, I had a soda, and Macy just entertained us all, while Laney played and Sloan relaxed in her carseat. It was good catching up with Sarah, and we're sad that they'll be gone all next week for Spring Break :( Macy will miss her friend! (and I'll miss mine, and Andrew will miss his!) After McD's, we ran over to The Children's Place, and then back home for naptime. Macy bug must have had way too much fun (obviously not at Hobby Lobby though!), because I put her down to sleep at around 1-ish, and she slept until about 4:00. Crazy girl!

After bathtime, she had oranges & squash for dinner, along with a bottle, then headed to bed. Can't wait for tomorrow and the weekend - going to be visiting lots of family, and we're REALLY excited to show them all that Macy's doing now! :)

Until tomorrow....

Day 213 - 7 Months Old Already?!

My baby girl is 7 months old today. Boy, time has sure flown by! She's crawling, laughing, eating fruits and veggies, wiggling out of our arms when we try to hold her, and just today, she pulled herself up into a standing position against a little table in our room! As my sister Marcie said, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Her 7 month pic was fun to take. Last month she was after the paper, this month, she was wanting that again, but we put the bear in the way, and so she was all over it instead. :)

Happy 7 months, Macy Marie! We love you!

Day 212 - Playdates and Pulling Up

As I went into Macy's room today to get her from her nap, I noticed that she was standing in her crib, holding onto the railing of the bed. I couldn't believe my eyes!!

We went into Arlington this morning to meet up with my sister Amy and her family who were visiting my BIL's sister and her little baby girl. Sarayu & Macy had a really fun time playing (chewing toys!) together.

Then we had a photo session at the park, so Andrew and Macy were able to play while the oldest daughter of the family I was doing pics for, watched them. It was nice to get out in the sunshine :)

Tonight was Andrew's open house at school.... that was lots of fun. It's amazing to see him reading when at the beginning of the year he was not even interested in it at all.

It's a good week and I'm already wiped out! :)
