Day 113 - And the Tree Goes Up!

Macy went to work with me today, as it was my last day of work.... she was loved on by all, of course, and I finished up the packing of my office and turning everything over to my replacement. It was a good day. Took Andrew to McD's after school to 'celebrate' my new journey that lies ahead :)

Came home and put the tree up once Miguel came home from work. Andrew thought it was more fun to be a pirate and wear his mini nutcracker ornaments on his ears than it was to hang them on the tree :) And Macy - just guess what she did while we put the tree up..... Yep, you guessed it - she slept.

Day 112 - The Start of a New Journey

Tomorrow will be the very last day I will work outside of the home for a while.... I've worked for 13 years and now I will be staying at home with my baby girl and will be able to be there for Andrew when he's home from school and during his events at school. I'm VERY excited, and I just KNOW Macy is too :) In fact, she took a nap to celebrate. haha

And yes, mom, and those who may ask.... she HAS gotten chubbier since you saw her just a few days ago. haha

AND - today Macy learned to flip from her back to her belly. She has already been flipping from belly to back, but now is a pro at back to belly and we can hardly get her to stay still long enough for a diaper or clothing change :) I've attached a video (turn on your speakers if you have them) of the girl and her fast moves....

Day 111 - A Day of Rest

Well, after shopping with my sisters from 2am until around 1:30pm, I tried to take it easy once I got home. The girl and I took a short nap and then crashed hard when it was time for bed. Fun day shopping and trying to catch up on sleep :)

For some reason, Macy wasn't too attached to Miguel as she was the other day.... During bath time, she would start to cry every time she'd look at him...it was too funny. That's about it for today :)

Day 110 - A Day of Shopping

Well, not for Macy - she stayed home all day...but me, Marcie, & Amy went out at 2am and shopped for almost 12 solid hours. It was CRAZY. And Macy took a big liking to her daddy during that time - she only wants him tonight :)

Day 109 - Macy's 1st Thanksgiving

Though she couldn't enjoy the turkey and dressing, she had fun being passed around from family member to family member. :) Happy First Thanksgiving, Macy Marie!!

Day 108 - Her Last Day Without Me

Macy went to the sitters house for the last time today. She will be with me every day from now on, unless I need a day or a few hours off...in that case, Angela is right around the corner. :) Today's pic is in honor of Angela and the blessing she was to me during the last few months. She helped make my time at work a little easier...

Day 107 - A Busy Day?

Macy must have stayed awake all day long at the sitters house, because since we came home at 6pm, she's been asleep. She had one bottle and still slept. I just hope she continues that sleep, because it's now time for me to go to bed and I really don't feel like being awake at 2am. :)

day 106 - Thanksgiving Break

It's Macy's last week at her babysitters house - I'm thrilled, naturally, but her sitter is quite emotional over it all. Guess she got attached :) Which makes me happy....glad I found a good one to love on her while I'm at work and can't do it myself. As for next week, though, we'll be staying home every day. SO excited about that!! So anyway, the pic is just of her sleeping - AGAIN!! :)

Day 105 - Meeting the Dogs

Well, because our backyard is a horrible wet and muddy mess, we decided to bring the dogs inside for a while. We bathed them, bought them a new, extra-large kennel, and let them run around inside before bed. Dudley & Ranger tried out their mountain goat skills by laying on the top of our couch and Ranger showed us how deer-like he is by jumping from the kitchen floor OVER the couch to the other side.... you'd have to see it to understand how funny this was :) Harley, he just came up to lick me every time I tried to get his picture, so we won't be posting one of him today :) Macy didn't quite care for the dogs, though....she was too tired to really care, actually. The dogs just sniffed her and went about their night doing whatever it is that dogs do (sniffing each other probably). haha We love our kiddos and even our 4 legged kiddos too :)

Day 104 - Her First Wedding

My sister and I shot a wedding tonight, and my baby girl tagged along to it with my parents and nieces. She was the cutest one at the wedding, that's for sure! :)

Day 103 - More beanies & flowers!!

Drove down to Mimi & Papa's house tonight for a wedding I'm shooting tomorrow with my oldest sister.... When we arrived, Mimi showed me all of the new beanies and flowers she's made for Macy and some other baby girls. SO exciting and fun trying them all on Macy's big round head :)

GOT to get some sleep NOW. Until tomorrow...

Day 102 - We love mimi!!

Had to get a cute pic of her in another one of her new beanies from Mimi!! We love the hats, mimi!! Thank you again!! (She wore the white one the other night to church and everyone thought it was SO CUTE!!) Time for sleep now! :)

Day 101 - She's Over 100 Days Old!

She's celebrating her first 100 days of life by doing what else.... SLEEPING. She went to bed earlier than usual, and I'm following suit. Goodnight all! :)

Day 100 - Cereal? I'm thinking NO

So Macy is eating us out of this house. Babysitter told me today that she's fed her all.day.long. She just won't stop eating. So even though she's not 4 months yet, (two more weeks for that), we tried a spoonful of cereal mixed with her formula. Yeah, that was fun :) She tried and just didn't "get" it. So we gave up. We'll try again when she's actually 4 months or when she just seems to need more. For now, we'll keep feeding that little piglet constantly so she won't starve. haha

Day 99 - Talking to Abuela

Miguel put his mom on speaker phone this evening and let her and Macy talk.... lol Macy thought the phone on the floor was very interesting - she couldn't tell where the voice was coming from but she did know who it was and was very excited to hear that voice. :) Off to sleep - I'm SO SLEEPY today!!

Day 98 - Her New Nose

Somehow, Abigail's (my niece) clown nose was left in Miguel's car.... And of course you know what we had to do with it!! :)

Day 97 - She Found Her Thumb!

FINALLY. She's found that thumb again. She used to know where it was when she was born, but had lost it and instead, just stuffed her whole hand in her mouth to suck on. The girl chews CONSTANTLY when she's awake. So I'm very happy that she's found her thumb so I don't have to keep sticking the pacifier in her mouth every few minutes :) We had fun in Waco with our photo session and with the full night of sleep, but I'm happy to be home with my kiddos. :)

Day 96 - First Night Without Her

Posting a day late due to the inability to get wireless at the hotel last night..... Will post todays pic in a bit.

Yesterday was fine - and then we left Macy & Andrew in the hands of my parents for the night while Miguel and I drove to Waco to do some engagement pics for a friend of ours. It was hard leaving her, but also nice to know she was well taken care of and that I'd get a good nights sleep. :) Thank you again, Mimi & Papa!

Oh - the pic of Andrew, I had to add it too :) I was playing with the lens I rented and he was being goofy as usual. haha

Day 95 - Laughing at Daddy Laughing

Macy started really laughing tonight!! She had given me a little giggle a few weeks ago, but nothing more since then. But tonight, Miguel called me into the room, telling me that Macy was laughing! He was laughing at her, and she'd start giggling right back at him. It was too cute!! But when we called Mimi to let her hear, of course she stopped doing it as much, so we looked crazy. :) But yay that she's starting to laugh! That's the best ever!!!

The pics are of her sleeping...she was OUT when I went to take her pic, and she just looks so darn cuddly laying there in her bed so sound asleep. Love that girl!!

Day 94 - She just wanted her mommy

(again posted one day late because I left my memory card reader at work last night and couldn't upload the pic of the day!!)

Macy's sitter called me in the afternoon to ask me what to do when Macy wouldn't stop crying. She'd tried everything. I get there and she's still whimpering...it was pitiful. She heard my voice and shook her arms free of the blanket and quieted down right away...and didn't give us anymore issues for the rest of the night. I told Miguel she just wanted her mommy was all :) She seems to be feeling better - still congested and coughing but not near as bad. Hopefully she'll only continue to get better.

Day 93 - 3 Month Old Happy Wheezer

Macy is 3 months today!! (actually, yesterday, but my internet was down so I couldn't post the pic of the day - but I did take it, that's what counts!) She also had to go back to the doctor. She's now what Dr. B. calls the "happy wheezer" - she's wheezing and coughing but is smiling while sick, so they are pleased. Her oxygen levels were fine, the RSV test came back negative, and a breathing treatment didn't help her at all, so all she's got is a diagnosis of bronchialitis. It can last for weeks and weeks and weeks, and so we just have to wait it out. Good news, I suppose, but I just wish she didn't have ANYTHING but perfect health!

Day 92 - Just sleep

SO tired tonight. Both of us girls are. The boys - they are just fine. So Macy and I are hitting the sack and going to try and get some rest before we wake up at 2am to cough for the rest of the night. It's what we do best. :)

Day 91 - So sick and tired :(

Macy just can't get a full nights sleep...she sleeps good for several hours and then wakes up at 2am or so and just coughs the whole rest of her night and into the late morning hours. It's awful. Just pitiful really. And I'm not feeling much better. Luckily, the boys are doing okay, I'm hoping it stays that way! Macy's been catching cat naps every minute she can, but she did wake up for a bit to watch America's Funniest Home Videos... :)

Day 90 - Sessions & siblings

Today was a day full of photo sessions - and of siblings. We took lots of sibling pics, even tried to get some of our own. But you will see from Andrew's expression, how well that went! Had to post one of my girl anyway, though. :) (and one for my mom of Macy in her beanie that I attached a big pink flower to!)

Day 89 - Running and resting

Andrew had his fun run at his school this morning. I went to watch him - he ran a 1/2 mile and came in 24th place out of 55 Kindergartners. He got a blue ribbon and another charm to put on his book ring. Macy went with her sitter to her kiddos fun runs as well, and I'm sure she enjoyed it - she loves anything outside. Other than that, she's been resting a lot tonight. Getting ready to hang out with us for 4 photo sessions tomorrow. In between sessions, we'll be taking hers and Andrews pics together. I'm excited :) That's all for tonight.

Day 88 - Macy says sleep is needed

Angela, Macy's sitter, said that at the end of the day, Macy just gave out and fell asleep. She slept through the car ride home, through picking Andrew up at school, and then once we got home, for about another hour. The girl was OUT. Poor thing. She was up ALL night last night, just coughing so much. It was not fun, but luckily she doesn't have to work like I do, and she was able to get the rest she's needed. Hopefully she's on the mend...

Day 87 - Beanie head

A girl I know on a mommy board I frequent, made Macy three beanies.... I paid for them, of course. They are really very cute - but now, I've gotten my mom into making them! So today, we had a package waiting for us in the mail, and in it was a beanie with a cute little flower attached to it. It is just a tad bit too big for her head right now, but it did the job for a quick pic :) And she'll definitely grow into it!! So Mimi, make my girl some more! I'll even supply the material if you tell me what kind! :)

Day 86 - Back to the grind - but still crackly

Poor Macy - she's still very congested and her cough is just so crackly...it's so pitiful. Unfortunately, she's shared the sore throat with her mommy, so now I'm feeling some of her pain. Better me than her, though, so maybe slowly it will all come to me instead of to her and she'll just get better. That's all I want!! Tonight, just a pic of her laying around under her little play gym thing. More tomorrow!

Day 85 - Just a darn cold

Macy bug just has a cold. That's it. Nothing we can do for her but spray her nose with saline solution and suck it right out to try and get the congestion out of there. Poor thing just sounds so awful with her little coughing. :( But luckily it's nothing serious and she'll be well before we know it! She's now weighing 12lbs (and 1.5 ounces) :) Dr. B was very glad to know that she rolled over from her belly to her back on Sunday (Nov. 1). My little baby girl is growing up way too fast!! Pics for today....miserable on the way to work with mommy before the doc visit, and then after the doc visit, sitting in her Bumbo chair, stuck in her little toy that was on the bumbo tray, and watching cartoons with Andrew :)
