365 Days of Macy

welcome

A photo for each day of Macy's first year of life...

Oh the faces of Macy, how funny they can be!

He's saying, "sheep say baa, Macy"...she's saying, "look brother, a sheep!"

oh the silly face... she's such a mess!

Look, see? She's happy!

But BAM! She can change in an instant!!

Oh dear! This means I'd better get her out of that jumperoo now, OR ELSE!

As Miguel said something like the following tonight - this girl is going to be trouble - I do believe he's right. :) Macy has learned how to give us "looks". She sticks her lips out if she's unsure about something or grumpy...and she's started "doing the eyebrow" as both Miguel and Andrew do when they are upset - and what's funny, is she does it at the most perfect moments. When we tell her no about something, there goes those eyebrows and she puts her head down. But now, she's started doing it all at the same time when she's mad that we've told her no-no. It's quite funny really :)

Also to be kinda sweet (cause she's gotta have some of that sweetness from her mommy since she gets the grumpy looks from the boys hahaha), when strangers or just people new to her come to talk to her, she hides behind our legs, peeking through our legs or around them, at said person. She's not rude to them and doesn't fuss if they touch her, but she does shy away. She's a sweet girl who LOVES to read, and her big brother uses that to his advantage, because it's just about the only time she'll let him hold her :)

Looking very forward to seeing family I haven't gotten to see in a while, over the Thanksgiving break, and for late-night-early-morning-pedicures-after-shopping with my sister(s) on Friday. Yes, we're part of those crazy folk who will be freezing our tails off trying to get the best deal on Christmas gifts :)

Enjoy the pics since that's all you come here for anyway, mom!! :)

pictures & pictures & more pictures

This is her "silly face" - LOVE that she did it for me when I just wanted a pic of her piggy tails and boots :)

Pictures of Riley with Macy (who hadn't seen him in months, and was initally very leary of him, but then he was her buddy at the end of the weekend)... Pictures of meeting my cousin on my dad's side who we haven't seen in 25+ years... Pictures of Macy in her new boots (yes, I know they don't exactly match or go with her outfit - we were just trying them on her, I'll post more pics when I dress her all cute in jeans and the boots) and with piggy tails in her hair :)... Pictures of Macy reading with her daddy - she has taken a real liking to reading lately - she loves to bring us books and have us read them to her :).... Pictures of Macy with a new beanie from Mimi.... Pictures of my niece Chelsea with her teal hair (thank you, beauty school lol)... And a cute pic of Macy showing us her 'silly face' :) Guess that will be all for now. Will post more in a few days :)
Okay, and just cause I want to share... I was bitten by a dog on Thursday, won Miguel tickets to a fight at Cowboys stadium for Saturday, completed lots of photo sessions, had a sick kid, rode in a car for many many hours with my parents, sister, and her kids to meet the only cousin we know from my dad's side (who we haven't seen/talked to in 25+ years!)... and now I have a headache and need to finish watching the Cake Boss and head to bed! :)

Enjoying the cool weather

Wow - what amazing weather we are having lately (besides the rain that flooded our entire backyard - what a MESS!!)!! I'm loving it and love not having the air or the heater on at all which means my electric bill should be amazing too! :) And since Macy has been very cranky lately with her teeth coming in, going outside is about the only thing that makes her happy! So we threw on a way cute outfit that Mimi had gotten for Macy back when she was itty bitty, and luckily, it now fits, and we got our shoes on and went to play outside. But before we did that, I wanted to pull Macy's hair back, since it's getting long and getting in her eyes more and more, but she won't let me put clips in it anymore, so I dug out an old headband with a flower on it from when she was a baby... and believe it or not, she didn't take it off for over an hour! So ignore it, really - as it was just an afterthought :) Oh - and she found my old camera that Andrew had been playing with, and she knew exactly what to do with it! Granted, it was upside down and backwards, but that's beside the point! :)

Poodles & Ninjas and Candy, Oh My!

you try getting a pic of 4 little cousins all looking at the camera :) one will always be running away, one will be striking a silly pose, one will look like he'd rather be cleaning his room than taking this picture, and one will be watching the run-away poodle :) never fails!

a poodle pooping on the sidewalk?? no - she's just digging in her candy bucket :)

Andrew - can you please ever look directly at me when I'm taking your picture?! ;)

Thank you mimi & papa for the wagon - our girl LOVES it!

Andrew was twirling his two glow sticks around and we thought this pic was neat :)

candy time! (and look at those little legs!!)

What a busy weekend we all had! Family came up and we went Trick-or-Treating in downtown Grapevine on Friday night... Saturday we went to the airshow and then to Andrew's trunk or treat carnival at his school... Sunday I had sessions all afternoon and then that evening we went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Macy loved being in her poodle (sheep, lamb, bunny, as she was called most of the time!) costume, and even got into the trick-or-treating on Sunday night, where she'd want to get out of the wagon, walk up to the door with Andrew, carrying her bucket and holding it out for the people to put the candy into. The only thing she didn't quite understand, was the leaving part - she wanted to stay on the porch of each house and not leave. It was fun and we got lots of candy. :)
