365 Days of Macy

welcome

A photo for each day of Macy's first year of life...

Day 181 - Going to Mimi & Papa's

The kids and I drove to Lindale today to stay the night with Mimi & Papa so that we could go to Jake's 3rd bday party at Chuck E Cheese tomorrow. Baby girl had a cute little flower clip that I put in her hair (nope, no headbands today, my girl has hair that I can finally clip things in!), and when Andrew walked by her and saw it, he did a little whistle at her and said "Macy, you look soooo pretty with your little flower in your hair!" and he saw me watching him and he repeated to me just how pretty he thought she was :) But then on our way to Lindale, he asked me if we could take the clip out of her hair because she was "freaking him out a little, and making him confused", because he knew it was her, but with the flower clip, it just didn't look like the normal Macy :) lol I so love that boy! But unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of her with the little clippie in her hair! We'll put it in again soon and take a pic though...

Macy bug had a good visit with her Mimi & Papa as usual :)

Day 180 - Our Day Off

We had the day off today, so after taking Miguel to work, the kids and I ran around and did some "chores" as Andrew calls them (errands to most of us). It was a beating because Andrew was just bored out of his mind. :) But we went home finally and relaxed a bit before having to pick Miguel back up and head for dinner and then home again.

I must have bored Macy too, cause she was wiped out on our way to get her Daddy from work....

Day 179 - Our Friday

First things first. NEVER put rice down the garbage disposal/drain. Rice expands and clogs your pipes when mixed with water. Then when you're running your washing machine in the attached room, and it's on the drain cycle - that water has nowhere to go since the pipes are clogged, so that water comes out of the washing machine ALL OVER YOUR FLOORS. Then you don't have any clean and dry towels and you have to re-wash everything after the pipes are de-clogged so you won't have even more water on your floors! Ugh. Lesson learned!

We don't have Cameron tomorrow, so today was our Friday :) And Andrew is out of school tomorrow, too, so we're gonna go run some errands and pick up Riley while Miguel is at work.

Macy bug looked soooo cute in her outfit that Aunt Amy bought her for Christmas - and Andrew loves to help Macy "walk" (when I'm right there with him, and only for one or two 'steps', of course!!), so I grabbed a quick photo :)

Day 178 - A Playdate!

Today we had a playdate at our house! My new friend, Lindsay, came over with her baby girl, Lylah, who is 3 days older than Macy, and her 2 (almost 3) year old son Micah. We sat and talked and played with the babies while Micah played with Andrew's toys. It was a very enjoyable time and I can't wait until we get together with them again!! To crochet this time! We're determined to learn how to make our babies some fun things as well as ourselves a scarf or purse or something! :)

Macy also managed to learn the forward scoot with her elbows instead of the backward scoot that she's been doing...so that was fun to watch, but she forgot how to do it once she'd had a long nap - so we're back at square one I guess. haha

Tonight was T-Kids at church - we dropped the boys off and Macy & myself ran some errands. Still trying to find stones for my big flower order - seems every store is constantly sold out of them. This is not good! :)

Anyway, here's a pic of Macy & her new friend (a little blurry), and one of Macy bug trying to crawl. Fortunately, this is as far as she gets, she just adds a little rocking back and forth to it and then gives it up :)

Day 177 - She likes toes!

Well, Macy loves toes now. But not just her toes! If she scoots anywhere near you, you'd better pull your feet out of her reach, otherwise she will start chewing on them! :) She also loves her own toes now too - she will play with them and chew on them whenever she's bored. But what's really funny, is that I found her chewing on Cameron's (the baby I keep) toes today!!! They were both rolling around on the floor, and Macy was just so interested in what Cameron was doing, and she somehow got herself right next to him and first had her fingers in his mouth.... then, when I went to pull her away from him before she scratched him or something, I noticed that his toes were soaking wet! She had been sucking on his foot!! YUCK! :) She's a mess, that's for sure!
Also, as she was playing on the floor today, I guess she got tired of her normal toys that I put out for her to play with, because when I looked to my feet, she had scooted all the way over to her bouncy chair and was going to town chewing on the edge of it! Too funny.

We've been feeding Macy bug more solids during the day, and today we had oatmeal w/bananas in the morning, and green beans in the afternoon. Normally she loves green beans, and today she ate them fine, but after every bite, her eyes would get big and she'd shiver and make the funniest face. It was too funny, but she was too fast for me to get it on camera.

We brought the dogs in the house and bathed them all tonight and it was quite the wild sight for a while.... Macy wasn't so sure what to think about them, but at the end of the night, I think she got okay with her new brothers. haha

Tomorrow we may be having a friend of mine and her kiddos coming over to visit/play during the day... her baby girl is just three days older than Macy. I'm excited! :) That's all for today!! Oh, and the groundhog saw his shadow and we have 6 more weeks of winter - brought to you by Andrew, who talked about this subject first thing this morning and then as soon as he got off the bus, he was still talking about it. haha

Day 176 - It was a Monday, for sure!

Even stay at home moms can have those typical Mondays! I fell asleep when the babies were sleeping this morning, and was supposed to get up at 10am to order tickets for a concert that my sisters and I and our hubbies are attending in March... Well, the babies didn't wake up, so neither did I!! We got our seats, but I felt awful when it was 10:30 and I hadn't done anything yet in my day!

Got up, got busy! Cameron was a bit fussy today, and so that was no fun :( Macy was okay - but I think she was a bit tired too, and so it was nice when they both went down for naps at 3, and Macy didn't even wake back up until 5:45!! Crazy girl. She was funny this morning, though, when she scooted herself so much backwards that her entire body ended up underneath our entertainment center - all that was showing was her little head. She was looking at me like 'um, could someone get me out of here please??' hahaha

She was wanting someone to hold her this evening and just love on her, so she got her wish and had her daddy hold her and put her to sleep. Sweet baby girl just loves her daddy so so much. :)

Day 175 - Church again!

We finally got to go, as a family, to church again! Miguel and I were able to attend the service together while Andrew was in his class, and then the girl and I grabbed Andrew and sat for a snack in the cafe while Miguel taught his class during the 2nd hour. It was nice to get out and be with our friends and church family again.

Met this afternoon with a 6 month old little boy who is looking for a new childcare provider. Pray I'll get to keep him - his parents are great and he was just too cute!

Other than that, it was a lazy day. Macy was wiped out from all the fun, can't you tell? :)
