365 Days of Macy

welcome

A photo for each day of Macy's first year of life...

Day 338 - Lot's of Friends & Playing in the Grass

Today we had Mia & Preston both, so we had a full house. Macy was surprisingly awake for some of it today! :) Nothing too exciting, but then when Miguel was outside mowing, and after we got home from the pool, I put Macy in a sweet little dress, in hopes that she'd get tired of trying to crawl with that dress bunching up underneath her, and that she'd just get up and walk instead.....and we sat outside and helped clean up the cut grass. Of course Macy sat on the lawn for a few seconds before she was DONE. And she got up on her feet/toes, and hands, and crawled right off of that itchy grass. I thought it was funny...she knew my plan, so she made up her own way of crawling with a dress on :)

Day 337 - Papa's Birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Papa!! Hope it's a great one!!

Stayed home today with Mia, who was over for the day. Nothing else happening, besides me going out to a photo session this evening. It was a family/baby session for a Kindergarden (moving up to 1st grade) teacher at Andrew's school. Should be some great pics from the session. It was fun :)

Macy's crazy as always... keeping her daddy on his toes while I was gone! She's teething again, her top tooth came in, but now she's skipped over the other top one and is going for one over from the top. Kinda confusing, but it doesn't matter, really, as sooner than later she will have a mouthful of teeth :) But that seems to be bothering her at times... she's sleeping like crazy and fussing a lot more than normal too.
And on the way to the session, I kept getting phone calls on my cell from Miguel's phone. But when I'd answer, no one would say anything. Several of those phone calls later, Miguel called me and told me that it was Macy who was calling me :) She had his phone and kept dialing me over and over again. She missed me :)

Day 336 - Church & Swimming

Today was a typical Sunday... church, lunch, and swimming! Riley was here for the weekend, so he came to the pool with us. It was nice, and my friend Gina gave us a swimsuit coverup for us to borrow for Macy since it never fit well on Mia. So we had a little photo op of course :)

Day 335 - One More Month Until She's One!

Today Macy turned 11 months old!! As an 11 month old, Macy can take 3-4 steps unassisted, go from a standing position into a squatting position and back up again, crawl like a speed crawler...she sleeps from around 9pm until 11ish in the morning, and then goes back down by 2pm and sleeps until 6pm or so, and that's about as much as I see her! She's starting to drink whole milk in between bottles of formula. She LOVES her brother and knows how to smack him out of the way when he's getting on her nerves! She waves hi and bye all of the time now, even when you just pick her up out of her crib, I guess she thinks she's going bye-bye :) She can give 'sweet hugs' when she feels like it :) She's eating anything and everything, and does not like much from a spoon, as she's independent and wants to do it all herself! We call her "biggie boss", because Andrew says she's the boss, and I think he's right :)

Happy 11months my sweet baby girl!! (notice her dirty face in the 11month pic - she had been eating Lucky Charms.... well, she was eating the marshmallows out of the lucky charms I gave her!)

Other than that, we didn't do much today. The boys kept Macy bug at home while I went and had some alone time out at the bookstore and local shops. It was nice to get away, but of course I miss my family when I'm gone :)

Day 334 - Running in the Rain & Staying Cool

Today we had Cason & Mia over and once they both left, Gina (Mia's mom) offered to watch Andrew & Macy while I went grocery shopping. So of course I took her up on the offer. Had to wake Macy up since she was in the middle of her marathon sleeping, but she did fine staying there with them for the hour or so that I was gone.

When I left Wal-Mart, however, it started pouring down rain... I had no umbrella, and no time to sit and wait it out (this wasn't even a rain you could wait out, as it lasted well into the evening), so I just made a run for it to the car. I was drenched. But lucky for me, I had no kids to worry about stuffing inside the car, so I was able to get my bags and myself in the car in record time. :) Getting Macy inside the car from Gina's was fun.... Gina let me use a raincoat to throw over Macy and the whole time I was running to the car, I could hear Macy giggling under the raincoat - guess she thought it was fun :)

Once I got home, I got the kids out and while Andrew was a goofball and played in the rain, I set Macy down in the garage while I unloaded all of the groceries. I guess she missed me or something, while I was gone, because she didn't want me out of her sight, and everytime I'd run back to the car, she'd start crying. I tried to snap a pic of her tears on my cell phone... poor girl :)

After drying us all off and getting Andrew in the shower, I started putting the cold groceries away, so I had the freezer and fridge open as I was doing so. I guess Macy thinks the 80 that I have our a/c turned to, is just too hot, because she crawled right over, climbed inside the fridge, and stood there playing with the juice boxes. And everytime I'd pull her out of the fridge and set her in the living room with all of her toys, she'd crawl right back over and climb back in. Okay, so maybe she just wanted a juice box, who knows. haha I was glad my camera was on the counter behind me, quick enough to grab so I could get a picture of the little booger before she fell out onto the tile (which she never did because I grabbed her and shut the door before she could climb back in).

Oh, to say I have my hands full with this one is an understatement. :) She'll have me on my toes, that's for sure!! (speaking of being on toes, she's taken more steps toward me tonight!!)

Day 333 - Brother in Pain & Learning to Fit

Andrew didn't sleep good last night, again because of a really awful pain he's been having in his ear. So first thing this morning, Miguel took him in to see the doctor... he has swimmers ear, and has to have ear drops put in twice a day and he cannot swim until the pain is completely gone. Poor kiddo. He was literally crying in the night, telling me how horrible the pain was in his ear. I felt so helpless!!

Preston & Mia were over today, so we all just played and then took good naps after Mia went home. Macy bug must have some teething pain or something, because she was a little spitfire today!! She has officially learned how to throw a fit. hahaha She starts by sitting up and slapping her hands really hard on her lap while yelling. Then if we don't do what she wants, or give her what she's wanting fast enough, she ends up on the floor, flat on her belly, slapping the floor with her hands, still yelling. haha It's too funny!! I saw her do this twice today, so I know she knows what she's doing. She's quite the mess, that girl! And she's also taken several sets of 3-4 steps at a time today!! She's getting a lot more brave with the standing and taking off without dropping to the floor into a crawl :) She just might beat her brother and walk before she's a year old... Guess we'll see!!

Oh, and the pic of Andrew - I had to laugh... He's all boy, loves bugs, worms, dirt, etc.... But when he goes out to dig and to find bugs and worms and such, he wears GLOVES. hahaha Rubber gloves at that! But hey, at least he's got the tattoos to prove that he's all boy :)

Day 332 - Jumping With Friends

Since we didn't have any 'extra' kiddos at our house today, we made plans with my friend (and Mia's aunt), Laura, and her little boy Cason. First we took the kids to the local jump house place.... they all jumped their little hearts out for a few hours, even Macy got in on a little of the bouncing action! After that, we went to McD's to let Andrew play while we sat and chatted over our free sandwiches (love discount cards!). By the time we were done, it was nap time for all of us!! That's the best part of the day :)

Macy bug has finally gotten a top tooth! You can't see much of it, but you sure can feel it! She sure does know how to use it already though, you can tell when she's eating all of those graham crackers she loves - she bites off little pieces of it with her teeth. It's cute :)
